George M. Williamson

George “Mike” Williamson passed away on April 25th at the age of 71. Mike was born in April 1954 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to the late George and Gladys Williamson.

He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, followed by time in the Air Force Reserves and Civil Service before his retirement. His dedication to service and hard work was evident in every chapter of his life.

Mike married the love of his life, Joyce Carol Harris, and together they shared 52 years of marriage and raised two sons. He passed on his deep appreciation for the outdoors to his children and grandsons, especially his passion for freshwater fishing and hunting.

He was well known in the community as “The Watch Doc,” running a clock and watch repair business fueled by his fascination with timepieces. A lifelong music lover, Mike played guitar in a band during his younger years and later enjoyed collecting unique guitars to admire in his home.

Mike is survived by his loving wife Carol; his sons, Kevin and Steven; his grandsons, Devin and Trey; his daughters-in-law, Kelly and Jackie; his granddaughter in law Torri; and his siblings, Ann Wright, Elizabeth Davis, Sheila Leger, and Jeff Williamson. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Family will receive visitors for the service at Brackney Funeral Service Chapel in Crestview on Friday, August 29that 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Donnie Cadenhead officiating.

A visitation will start at 1:00p.m. at the funeral home chapel.

Burial will follow at a later date at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida.
