John H. Davis III, age 83, passed peacefully at his home, with his family by his side on July 30, 2025. He was born on June 10, 1942 in Altha, FL. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ruth Davis, his children, Brandon, Michael, Teresa, Tammy, Kristina, and granddaughter, Reagen, that he helped raised. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews as well as his fur baby Heidi Mae. He was predeceased by his parents, Inez and John Davis Jr., and his brother Robert Davis.

He graduated from Blountstown High School and Okaloosa Walton Community College and joined the United States Air Force, proudly serving our country for 37 years. He was a proud member of the Masonic Organization serving 52 years. He received a 50 year service award on December 16, 2022. His lodge officer titles included historian, senior deacon, chaplain from 2001 to 2017, worshipful master, served on multiple committees, and district deputy grand master from May 2001 to May 2002. His hobbies included fishing, bowling, and golf.

Viewing and Service will be held at Brackney Funeral Service Chapel in Crestview, Fl. Viewing will be Sunday August 3rd at 5-7pm and Service will be Monday August 4th starting at 10am.

Grave side service will be at Live Oak Cemetery in Crestview, Fl. with Full Military Honors.
